My dear friend,

The one question I am asked more than any other wherever I go is, "What can I do? I know that the message of Conversations with God can change lives. I know this message can change the world. What can I do?"

In the CwG dialogue book The New Revelations, that answer was made clear. The tool that will change the world—the only tool that will—is education, education, education. We need to create for all of humanity a new Cultural Story…and we need to begin with our children.

A Cultural Story is the story that we tell TO ourselves ABOUT ourselves. It is the story that we tell to our offspring about what it means to be human. About our most important values. About our very reason for being. And, yes, about the thing that some of us call “God.”

If we can pass on to our children an enlightened view, a new idea, about God, about Life, and about Each Other, we can alter the course of human history and human evolution in one generation. Yet how will such new ideas ever make their way into the mainstream of education?

They will not. Not very soon. And so, we must use an alternate method of placing a new Cultural Story in front of our children. That alternate way is The School of the New Spirituality. And the New Story it teaches is the Story of the Oneness of All of Humanity. Oneness with Life, Oneness with Each Other, and Oneness with God. Such A New Story could end our self-destructive behaviors at last.

The tools with which to tell this New Story, in age-appropriate ways for children to easily absorb, are now being created. What is needed at this juncture is a commitment on the part of parents to get those materials into the hands of people around the world, so that they, in turn, can place them in front of their children.

That is what the Parents Empowerment Kit: The New Story School-in-a-Box is all about. We are producing in 2010 one such kit every two months, each centered around a Guiding Principle of the Conversations with God message. The challenge we face now: How to get these Kits reproduced and into homes across the globe.

And that is where you come in. We have waited long enough for our world religious leaders to bring us a new Cultural Story. We have waited long enough for our global political leaders to show the way. We have waited long enough for our planet’s economic system to produce new outcomes that honor the right of every human being to a dignified, fulfilling life. And we have waited long enough for our educational systems to come up with a new curriculum that teaches our children new ways to be human, new ways to live together from culture to culture, religion to religion, race to race, in peace and in harmony. We have waited long enough.

I am asking you to do what you can, right now, to help us produce and distribute our Parent Empowerment Kits to every corner of the world.

Everyone knows that the world is heading for major challenges having to do with our experience on this planet. Not just in education, but in the areas of our environment, politics, science, technology, the health of our people as it's being affected by our environmental conditions, and many other aspects of our interaction with the world. Everyone knows that this is a very challenging time. What everyone does not know is that there are ways that we can meet these challenges head on, with confidence and clarity.

Yet we must have the help of all those who believe that is possible to birth a new human through the process of a new education; through the telling to our children of a new story about their possibilities and their opportunities and the invitation placed before all of humanity to live in a different way, to eliminate war and violence and suffering and deprivation and loss of human dignity forever. We can do this. We can do this. But we must want to. And we must have the tools.

Now we have the tools. Conversations with God has given us those, and the School of the New Spirituality has created them. It is merely a matter now of “getting them out there.”
