Warm Spring Greetings to you!

For those of us in the northern hemisphere, this is the time of spring which represents new growth and new beginnings.  I love this time of the year when nature springs back and blesses us with the refreshing color of baby green and the rapid movement of nature once again.  This time of the year always blesses me with the feeling of receiving a fresh start to co-create whatever I wish from a new place.  What choice can you make to create a life that is more fulfilling and in alignment with who you say you wish to be in the world?  Choices can be large or small depending on how much energy and motivation you have to cause a positive shift in your life.  For me, the most important thing is that I have a sense of peace and purpose, that I’m growing and moving forward, and “walking my talk” while impacting the world in a positive way.  I hope you are feeling the stirrings inside of getting a fresh start to re-vision your life and create anew. 

In honor of spring, the SNS is working on refreshing our website.  We’ve already begun with the homepage.  It is a work in progress.  We’re also in the process of designing KIDSpirit pages which will serve as a new youth section on our website.  We hope you’ll check in from time to time.  If you have comments/suggestions for us that might make our site more user friendly, we’d be happy to hear from you and pass your ideas along for consideration.  Just send me an email and share your thoughts.

"Eyes Wide Open" ~ EWO

Eyes Wide Open (EWO) is a School of the New Spirituality review service and mini-store. We spotlight enrichment education books, CDs, DVDs, videos, cassettes, and other materials that embrace and teach new spirituality principles. From well-known and lesser-known artists, SNS’s EWO envisions awakening children of all ages!

Exploring the Questions...

Last month I left you with two questions I ask when I react to words/energies from someone else, “Where do I hold this in myself?” and “Where do I hold the opposite too tightly?” Let’s explore these questions and I will share with you how I use them.

Let’s say I find myself complaining about the way people neglect their children or pets. I am angry, sad and judging them for doing so. When I ask “Where do I hold this in myself?” I may find I am neglecting someone or something in my life. When I ask “Where do I hold the opposite too tightly?” I may find I love too tightly. The phrase “I love you to death” may well be suffocating the person to death. Neglect and loving too tightly are the same vibrating energy… they just look different.

This information offers me great insight because everything in my life is a reflection of my inner world. When I look deep enough, I may find I am stifling or neglecting myself. Each time I choose to heal these parts of myself, I can express and receive more UNCONDITIONAL love.

I believe the New Spirituality asks me to be responsible for my reactions. Living with my EYES WIDE OPEN has allowed me to heal deep levels of sadness, anger, judgment and other fear energies. Now, I feel greater joy, peace and love. I am grateful for this!

GRATITUDE for my healing opportunities is a great way to explain what I am up to in my NEW SPIRITUALITY life!

We are receiving emails from people around the world who are interested in connecting with others in their area to be involved with or assist in the creation of new SNS programs. We are bound by our email privacy policy so we cannot give out personal information regarding other SNS family members. However, it is our desire to help you find each other…so we have created a new page on our website where you can list your contact information and interests to be posted on the page to help others connect with you ~ Community Connections page.

It is so much more fun to work together.  Here’s to finding your new SNS friends!

SNS Volunteer Opportunities

• We are looking for translators to translate one SNS webpage per week into Spanish. Like our sister organization, Humanity's Team, we wish to co-develop a global forum for children and their adult leaders. Please contact Laurie Farley for more information.

• SNS is currently looking for four part-time volunteers anywhere in the world who can contribute 4-8 hours a month (approx. 2 hours per week) to identify “Community Partners” in their area.  These are usually large store franchises such as WalMart, Target, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble and large chain supermarkets which have programs for non-profits that save a small percentage of customers’ expenditures for donations to schools.  No training is necessary.  All that is required is a willingness to ask your favorite stores whether they have such a program and fill out a card connecting them with the School of the New Spirituality. The SNS would then automatically receive checks from them on a quarterly basis to support our programs.   Meanwhile, our programs, and ultimately the kids, receive the benefits each time people in your community shop at that store.  It’s that easy!  If you are interested in applying for one of these positions or if you have any questions, contact Linda Ratto.

DID YOU KNOW….? 

The SNS website now offers page translations in French and German.  We hope to offer translations in Spanish soon.

There are many people who don’t have computers that would love to stay connected with how our organization is moving forward to teach and support the children.  We welcome donations to support the hard-copy mailing of this newsletter by defraying the cost of postage.
