Community Support Keeps Us Growing

We are a young non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Our organization operates mainly on financial donations and volunteer services provided by the spiritual community. Our intention is to have all our needs fulfilled through the Law of Attraction so we can continue creating programs and curriculum that support teaching young people a new way to think about themselves and God. We know we need to make our desires known so you can figure out how you can help. That's why we've created this page so we can find each other and co-create together.

Below you’ll find a list of volunteer and compensated positions that our organization is looking to fill. Most of these positions don’t take a whole lot of time or a long term commitment so there is an appeal here for many of you. While our volunteer positions aren’t compensated, we do offer the added bonus of your service time being valued at current market rates as a potential value to you at tax time through the completion of a declaration form. The SNS values every hour of your service time. We also sometimes need special sponsors to help our organization run more efficiently and cost effectively. FREE2BU FAMILY HOME EMPOWERMENT KITS

Ever wonder how you can support youth in a program that empowers them to be Who They Really Are in their family environment? The School of the New Spirituality is developing a Tool Kit for Families to do just that. We are currently seeking companies or individuals who wish to partner with the Free2BU Team in Dallas (the SNS creators of the kit) to share their products or services by providing a company logo and a link to your website within the Home Empowerment Kits. Your message will be marketed to tens of thousands of like-spirited people who live by the principles found in the “Conversations with God” book series. Donations are always welcome. CALLING YOUNG PEOPLE!

Creating YOUTHSpirit Section of our Website

We’re calling on young people to help us create a new YOUTHSpirit section of our website. We’d like to find youth who like to; work with graphics, write, and contribute ideas to help us build this area of our website in a way that reflects you. We feel you’re better able to create a cooler place to visit than we can so we want to help you do that. You don’t have to be “an expert” at anything. A little bit of knowledge and experience goes a long way when you’re willing to stretch yourself and learn more with our support. Creating SNS page on MySpace.com

Do you know how to create a page on MySpace.com? The SNS doesn’t have a page there yet. We know that a lot of young people love to go to MySpace so we’d like a few young people to work together with us to help create a presence there. It’s important to us that young people know we’re here and what we’re trying to create in the world on behalf of young people. If you’d like to help us out with a MySpace page, please contact Rhoda Ross.

Opening School Accounts with Stores Worldwide - Part-time

SNS is currently looking for 4 part-time volunteers anywhere in the world who can contribute 4-8 hours a month (approx. 2 hours per week) to identify “Community Partners” in their area. These are usually large store franchises such as WalMart, Target, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble and large chain supermarkets which have programs for non-profits that save a small percentage of customers’ expenditures for donations to schools. No training is necessary. All that is required is a willingness to ask your favorite stores whether they have such a program and fill out a card connecting them with the School of the New Spirituality. The SNS would then automatically receive checks from them on a quarterly basis to support our programs. Meanwhile, our schools, and ultimately the kids, receive the benefits each time people in your community shops at that store. It’s that easy! Translators - Part Time

We are looking for translators to translate one SNS webpage per week in your language of fluency. Like our sister organization Humanity's Team, we wish to co-develop a global forum for children and their adult leaders. Please contact Laurie Farley for more information.

Marketing Professional Worldwide - Part-time

We’re hoping to find a few marketing volunteers to assist us with marketing specific projects. This position which will run approximately 4-8 weeks in focus length with a vision for a larger position once results have been generated for the SNS. For more info, please contact Linda Ratto.

Project Volunteer 4-8 weeks Worldwide Part-time

We’re seeking a couple of well-rounded volunteer project people who enjoy working on short, specific projects for anywhere up to 8 weeks at a time. These projects will probably require 12-18 volunteer hours in all and will probably be quite varied. One of our current projects is helping to coordinate one of several empowerment kits currently being formulated. Another project is researching school insurance policies for various SNS groups.

If you enjoy working on short projects, please send us an email telling us a little about yourself, your expertise, talents and interests. Even if neither of the above projects appeals to you, if you send us some information about yourself, we will add you to our growing list of interest in the SNS and call on you when a project arises which suits your interest. Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a volunteer with graphic and technical skills to assist us in re-visioning our website to make it more visually stimulating and pleasing to our guests. You don’t have to be an expert in graphic design to be able to assist us. We know that there are many people out there who have the ability to create and manipulate graphics, especially young people, that may not consider themselves experts, but who have the heart to do great work.
